Sometimes progress doesn't mean building something new — but making the existing smarter.
At Metazet, a significant operation was scheduled: the production line for the pot gutter had to be moved to a new location.
At the same time, the line was extended and expanded with a new slitter.
We were allowed to take care of the electrical part: carefully disconnecting, relocating, reconnecting, and commissioning the entire line.
A beautiful example of how existing machines get a second life.
The challenge: moving without stopping
Moving a production line seems simple, but in practice, there is a lot involved.
Cables, controls, motors, sensors — everything is interconnected and must work together precisely again at the new location.
The production line should not be idle for too long.
The challenge was to safely disconnect the electrical installation, relocate it, and start it up smoothly in the new location — with the expansion of the new slitter integrated into the system.
Our approach: step by step, without surprises
We started with a technical inventory of all electrical connections, signals, and components.
By documenting everything in advance, we were able to reconstruct the line later in the same order.
Then the installation was gradually disconnected and moved to the new production area.
At the new location, we integrated the new slitter into the existing control system.
Everything was carefully tested before the line was restarted — so that Metazet could continue production without interruption.
Collaboration as the key to success
Such a project can only succeed with good coordination among all parties involved.
Together with the Metazet team, we worked step by step towards a smooth execution — from planning to commissioning.
The result is something both teams can be proud of: a modern production line, built on existing technology, that is fully ready for the future.
